How do I create a PayShap account?

You don't need to. There is no PayShap account to open, because PayShap is not a separate product, it is the payment system your bank connects to. With GoTyme Bank it is switched on automatically, so there is nothing for you to register or set up.

What PayShap actually is. PayShap is South Africa's real-time payment system, connecting participating banks so money can move between them in seconds. You use it from inside your banking app when you make a payment. There is no PayShap app, no PayShap login and no separate balance.

What is a ShapID. A ShapID is a short alias pointing to your bank account, so people can pay you without your account number and branch code. Watch out for fake apps. Because there is no PayShap app, anything advertising itself as one is not legitimate.
