GoTyme Bank Five Transaction Competition Terms And Conditions

All Participants, by entering this Competition, agree to be bound by these terms and conditions:

  1. THE GOTYME BANK FIVE TRANSACTION COMPETITION
    1. GoTyme Bank Limited (formally known as Tyme Bank Limited and hereinafter referred to as “the Promoter”) is running a competition in which eligible participants may receive a cash reward when making five (5) or more Qualifying Transactions.
    2. Any term that is in in bold red print is very important and you must read these bold red print terms very carefully.
  2. DEFINITIONS
    1. “Competition” means “this GoTyme Bank Five Transaction Competition governed by these Terms and Conditions.”
    2. “Competition Period” means “commencing on 9 October 2025 and ending at 23:59 on 31 March 2026, unless extended as communicated by Us and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.”
    3. “Active GoTyme Bank Account” means “a bank account that has been opened with GoTyme Bank that has not been suspended or closed in accordance with our terms and conditions available on Our website.”
    4. “Loss(es)” means “any and all damages, fees, costs, charges, expenses, instructions, commitments, disputes, claims, defences, taxes, fines and penalties imposed upon or incurred by the applicable party”
    5. “Personal Information” means “as defined in POPIA”
    6. “POPIA” means “Protection of Personal Information Act number 4 of 2013 as amended from time to time”
    7. “Prize Money” means “R150 awarded to the winning Participant”
    8. “Qualifying Transaction” means “Five (5) or more of any of the following transactions using the GoTyme Bank application or by way of Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (“USSD”):
      1. Purchasing electricity or airtime; or
      2. Making an Electronic Funds Transfer (“EFT”) payment; or
      3. Making a PayShap transfer; or
      4. Making deposits to and withdrawals from an Active GoTyme Bank Account.”
    9. “You/the Participant/Your” means “the customer and potential participant in this Competition”
    10. “We/Us/Our/Promoter/GoTyme Bank” means “GoTyme Bank Limited formally known as Tyme Bank Limited”
    11. “Working Days” means “any day (other than Saturday, Sunday or South African public holiday) on which legal business can be conducted.”
  3. CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
    1. Who may participate?
      1. You may only participate in the Competition if:
        1. You are a South African citizen, over the age of 18 (Eighteen), residing in South Africa; and
        2. You have a registered and Active GoTyme Bank Account;
      2. No employees of GoTyme Bank, its suppliers, directors, agents, consultants, partners or related companies and their immediate family members or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the promoter, are eligible to enter this competition.
    2. How to participate?
      1. Participants will only be entitled to receive Prize Money if all the of the following conditions are satisfied:
        1. You meet the participation requirements set out in clause 3.1 above; and
        2. You have made a five (5) or more Qualifying Transactions.
  4. RULES OF THE COMPETITION
    1. Eligibility
      1. Participant must make Qualifying Transactions during the Competition Period.
      2. Upon making Qualifying Transactions, you will be automatically entered into the draw.
      3. Only 60 Participants who have made Qualifying Transactions will be chosen at random during the Competition Period, with 10 Participants being announced as winners each month.
      4. Participants are only eligible to win once during the Competition Period.
    2. Competition Mechanics & Prize Money Redemption
      1. Prize Money draws will be conducted monthly, with winners selected at random from all qualifying participants. The prize draw will be done internally at GoTyme Bank.
      2. Only Qualifying Transactions apply.
      3. The prize draw will be final, thus no negotiations and/or correspondence will be entered into after the prize draw. The prize draw will be recorded for future reference.
      4. This Competition is open from 9 October 2025 and ends at 23:59 on 31 March 2026. Any entries received after the Competition Period will not be eligible to participate in the Competition, regardless of the reason for the late entry.
      5. Your entry into the competition and/or your acceptance of the Prize Money constitutes your binding acceptance of the terms and conditions on behalf of yourself.
      6. Entries reflected on GoTyme Bank’s records will be treated as the only validation source and will be the only evidence of successful entries.
      7. The Prize Money will be paid to the winning Participant’s Active GoTyme Bank Account within 5 (five) business days from the date that the winner has been contacted and has provided GoTyme Bank with all the necessary information to process the winning.
      8. The prize winners will be contacted and notified telephonically on their registered cell phone number with GoTyme Bank. Winners may be asked to be a part of marketing and promotional activities, including social media posts for announcing the names of winners, for which no fee, royalty or other compensation will be payable, but will have the right to decline consent or participation in the marketing and promotional activities. For any queries in this regard, you can refer to a copy of these rules which can be found at www.gotyme.co.za or call the customer care team on 0860 999 119 during office hours throughout the period of the Competition.
      9. If we are unable to reach you within 5 (five) calendar days after initial contact (first phonecall) is made, you will forfeit the Prize Money and we reserve the right to re-draw and select a new winner under the same conditions.
      10. The Prize Money is not negotiable or transferable and may not be deferred, changed, or exchanged for any other item or cash.
      11. GoTyme Bank reserves the right to change the amount of the Prize Money at any time throughout the duration of the Competition Period.
      12. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
      13. The Promoter will not be liable for any losses caused by incorrect or inaccurate information supplied by Participants. No cheques or physical cash will be issued.
      14. We may require you to provide us with such additional information and documentation as we may reasonably require in order to process, confirm, and facilitate your acceptance of the Prize Money. If you refuse or do not to provide us with the requested information or documentation within two (2) months, you will forfeit the Prize Money.
      15. It is your responsibility to ensure that any information which you provide to us is accurate, complete, and up to date. Should any of the data provided by yourself in connection with this Competition prove to be invalid, inaccurate, false, or misleading, your entry shall be disregarded and not considered. Entries which contain errors will be invalid.
      16. GoTyme Bank is not liable for any technical failure that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.
  5. TAX IMPLICATIONS
    1. The Promoter strongly recommends that the Participant obtains independent professional advice regarding any tax implications arising from the receipt, transfer or spend of any rewards obtained in respect of this Competition.
    2. The Participant is fully responsible for any tax implications arising from or associated with any receipt, transfer or spend of any rewards due to for participating in this Competition.
    3. The Participant agrees that he/she will not hold the Promoter liable and hereby fully indemnifies the Promoter, and holds the Promoter completely harmless, against all damages, claims and fines made against the Participant or the Promoter, including all legal costs on an attorney-and-own-client scale, to the extent to which such damages, claims and fines arise out of or are connected to any taxation relating to the Participant’s receipt, transfer or spend of any rewards or the charges in respect thereof.
  6. PROCESSING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
    1. By entering this Competition, you acknowledge and consent to GoTyme Bank collecting, storing, and processing your Personal Information in accordance with the GoTyme Bank Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA). You are encouraged to review the Privacy Policy, which sets out the purposes and manner in which your Personal Information will be processed, available at www.gotyme.co.za.
    2. You acknowledge that your Personal Information may be collected, stored and processed by GoTyme Bank for the purposes of carrying out our obligations under these Competition Terms and Conditions.
    3. GoTyme Bank has described the purposes for which your Personal Information may be Processed in our Privacy Policy that may be accessed from our website. GoTyme Bank therefore requires you to read and ensure that you understand the Privacy Policy.
    4. By participating in this Competition, you consent and agree to GoTyme Bank Processing your Personal Information for the purposes, in the manner and with the appropriate controls as set out in the Privacy Policy.
    5. You further agree that GoTyme Bank may assign the processing of your Personal Information to an Operator who will process such Personal Information under an agreement or mandate entered into with GoTyme Bank, as further provided for in the Privacy Policy.
  7. INDEMNIFICATION OF GOTYME BANK
    1. GoTyme Bank is not liable for any loss or damages that may occur as a result of entering or participating in the Competition.
    2. You agree to indemnify GoTyme Bank fully for any Loss or damage We may suffer because of your breach of these Competition Terms and Conditions.
    3. By participating in this Competition, you also agree to indemnify and hold harmless GoTyme Bank, its directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and legal expenses (whether incurred by you or a third party) arising directly or indirectly from: (i) your participation in the Competition; (ii) your breach of these terms and conditions; or (iii) any act or omission by you during the Competition. This indemnity will not apply in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct by GoTyme Bank.
  8. GENERAL
    1. A copy of these rules can be found on the following website www.gotyme.co.za throughout the period of the Competition or can be obtained from the GoTyme Bank Consumer Call Centre on the telephone number 0860 999 119.
    2. We do not make any representations or give any warranties, whether expressly or implicitly, as to the Prize, and in particular, but without limitation, make no representations and give no warranty that your entry or participation in the competition will necessarily result in you winning the Prize.
    3. We and our affiliates will not be responsible for any harm, damage, loss, or claim relating to the provision of any element of the Prize or any changes to the Prize that may be made at any time.
    4. You agree that your participation in the competition, and your acceptance and/or use of the Prize Money, or any aspect thereof, is at your own risk.
    5. GoTyme Bank reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions as well as terminate or vary the Competition at any time on reasonable notice to be published on the GoTyme Bank website. In the event of such termination and to the fullest extent permissible under the applicable laws, all participants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of the Competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against GoTyme Bank, its advertising agencies, advisors, suppliers and nominated agents.
    6. GoTyme Bank reserves the right to disqualify any participant suspected of fraudulent activity, including but not limited to, manipulation of transaction data, use of automated tools, or any conduct that compromises the integrity of the Competition.
    7. The Promoter reserves the right to name Participants publicly and any other place where the Promoter deems fit. By entering the promotion, Participants agree to the publication of their name by the Promoter.
    8. The Promoter shall have the right to change or terminate the promotion immediately and without notice, if deemed necessary in its opinion and if circumstances arise outside of their control. In the event of such change or termination, all Participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this promotional Competition and acknowledge that they will have

Neither the Promoter, its agents, its associated companies, nor any directors, officers or employees of such, shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by a Participant resulting from participation in this promotion or use of any cash reward.
    10. Participation in the promotional Competition constitutes acceptance of the promotional Competition rules and Participants agree to abide by the rules.
    11. In the event of a dispute in regards to any aspect of the promotion and/or these terms and conditions, the decision of the Promoter will be final and binding and no correspondence may be entered into.
    12. The Promoter is not liable for any technical failures affecting participation in the promotion and assumes no liability whatsoever for any entry that has been omitted from participation for any reason whatsoever. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
    13. The Promoter may refuse to award the vouchers or make any cash payments if entry procedures or these terms and conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices.
    14. Any Participants suspected of committing fraud will also not qualify to participate in any future promotions or competitions run by the Promoter or their agents.
    15. Similarly, any Participants suspected of committing fraud in any previous promotions run/managed by either the Promoter or its agents will automatically be disqualified from this Promotion.
    16. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.
    17. All information on the website, digital channels and till slip is provided by GoTyme Bank Ltd, or is licensed from various license holders. You may only use this information to assist in learning more about any product or service. You may not store, reuse or utilise this information for any commercial purpose.

    21. These terms and conditions will be construed, interpreted, and enforced in accordance with the laws of contract and dispute resolution in the Republic of South Africa.

GoTyme Bank Account Switch SASSA Grant & Earn Campaign Terms And Conditions

  1. THE GOTYME BANK ACCOUNT SWITCH SASSA GRANT & EARN CAMPAIGN
    1. GoTyme Bank Limited (formally known as Tyme Bank Limited and hereinafter referred to as “the Promoter”) is conducting this promotional Campaign (“Switch and Earn Campaign”) in which eligible participants may receive a cash reward or credit payment into their GoTyme Bank Account when making a Qualifying Switch.
    2. Any term that is in in bold red print is very important and you must read these bold red print terms very carefully.
  2. DEFINITIONS
    1. “Campaign” means “this GoTyme Bank Account Switch Sassa Grant & Earn Campaign governed by these Terms and Conditions”
    2. “Campaign Period” means “commencing on 17 September 2025 and ending at 23:59 on 31 December 2025, unless extended as communicated by Us and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
    3. “Active GoTyme Bank Account” means “a bank account that has been opened with GoTyme Bank that has not been suspended or closed in accordance with our terms and conditions available on Our website.”
    4. “Loss(es)” means “any and all damages, fees, costs, charges, expenses, instructions, commitments, disputes, claims, defences, taxes, fines and penalties imposed upon or incurred by the applicable party”
    5. “Personal Information” means “as defined in POPIA”

    7. “Qualifying Switch” means “switching the receipt of a SASSA grant payment from a non-GoTyme Bank account into a GoTyme Bank account at a participating SASSA site or retail store upon providing proof of nomination by means of a SASSA award confirmation letter received from a participating SASSA office which confirms GoTyme Bank as the bank of choice, or as confirmed by any other means as determined to be acceptable by GoTyme Bank.”
    8. “SASSA” means “the South African Social Security Agency”
    9. “SASSA Grant” means “receipt of the Social, Relief and Distress grant or general grant from SASSA”
    10. “You/the Participant/Your” means “the customer and potential participant in this Campaign”
    11. “We/Us/Our/Promoter/GoTyme Bank” means “GoTyme Bank Limited”
    12. “Working Days” means “any day (other than Saturday, Sunday or South African public holiday) on which legal business can be conducted.”
  3. CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
    1. Who may participate?
      1. You may only participate in the Campaign if:
        1. You are a South African resident, over the age of 18 (Eighteen), residing in South Africa; and
        2. You are in possession of a valid South African identity document; or
        3. Any juristic entity duly incorporated in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa; and
        4. You have a registered and Active GoTyme Bank Account
    2. How to participate?
      1. Participants will only be entitled to receive the cash reward or credit payment into their GoTyme Bank account if all the of the following conditions are satisfied:
        1. You meet the participation requirements set out in clause 2.1 above; and
        2. You have made a Qualifying Switch
  4. RULES OF THE CAMPAIGN
    1. Eligibility
      1. Participants will be eligible to receive a once off GoTyme Bank cash reward or credit payment into their GoTyme Bank account if they have made Qualifying Switch within the Campaign Period.
    2. Campaign Mechanics & Cash Reward Redemption
      1. Participants will receive a cash reward after providing proof of nomination by means of the SASSA award/confirmation letter (or any such other confirmation as deemed acceptable by the Promoter) confirming GoTyme Bank as the bank of choice;
      2. The Promoter reserves the right to verify that the payment is in fact a bona fide SASSA Grant payment before effecting payment to the customer.
      3. This Campaign is open from 17 September 2025 and ends at 23:59 on 31 December 2025. Any switches received after the closing date will not be considered.
      4. The amount of the cash reward or credit payment into your GoTyme Bank account will be determined as follows:

        SEGMENT MINIMUM PAYMENT REWARD

        • Payments of SASSA general grant qualify for a R50 cash reward or credit payment into your GoTyme Bank account;
        • Payments of SASSA Social Relief and Distress (“SRD”) Grant qualify for a R30 cash reward or credit payment into your GoTyme Bank account;
      5. GoTyme Bank reserves the right to change the amount of the rewards at any time throughout the duration of the Campaign Period.
      6. The Participant’s enrolment in this campaign is once-off. Any further communication to participate in the same campaign again should be ignored.
      7. The reward will be awarded once the Participant has made a Qualifying Switch and, where applicable, has been verified by the Promoter. The Participant would be required to present the SASSA award/confirmation letter or any other such document or confirmation as the Promoter deems acceptable, together with your ID to an agent or of the Promoter. Such documentation will be provided to the agent and/or employee of the Promoter in order to be verified
      8. Upon verification, the qualifying Participants will be given a cash reward by the agent or employee of the Promoter at a qualifying SASSA site or retail store.
      9. System downtime occurs from time to time and neither the Promoter, nor its agents will be held liable for any unforeseeable system breakdowns.
      10. The Promoter reserves the right to withhold payment of the reward money should it suspect that any fraudulent activity has occurred whether in qualifying for the reward or in using the GoTyme Bank account. For example, if the customer tries to falsify the award letters to illegally qualify for a R50 incentive.
      11. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
      12. The Promoter will not be liable for any losses caused by incorrect or inaccurate information supplied by Participants. No cheques or physical cash will be issued.
      13. The Promoter reserves the right to carry out reasonable due diligence to confirm eligibility.
  5. TAX IMPLICATIONS
    1. The Promoter strongly recommends that the Participant obtains independent professional advice regarding any tax implications arising from the receipt, transfer or spend of any rewards obtained in respect of this campaign.
    2. The Participant is fully responsible for any tax implications arising from or associated with any receipt, transfer or spend of any rewards due to for participating in this campaign.
    3.     2. You also agree to indemnify GoTyme Bank for any Loss or damage you suffered as it relates to your participation in this GoTyme Bank Account Switch Sassa Grant & Earn Campaign. This means that you cannot hold Us legally responsible for any Loss or damage or legal expenses you suffered because you took part in this Campaign.
    3. You will indemnify and hold harmless GoTyme Bank from being held legally responsible for the Loss or damage or legal expenses of any third-party (legal or natural) if such Loss or damage or expense was incurred because your: (i) breach of these Campaign Terms and Conditions or (ii) participation in this Campaign.

    2. The Promoter has the right to end, extend or amend this Campaign and its Terms and Conditions at any time.
