How to cancel a money voucher and get your money back on the GoTyme Bank app

Many of you have asked for a way to undo a money voucher, and we’re glad to say that you can now reverse it yourself in the GoTyme Bank app.

So you sent a money voucher and then realised it was a mistake, or simply changed your mind? You can simply cancel it yourself in the GoTyme Bank app, and your money comes straight back to your account immediately. No forms and no phone calls. Here's how it works, and what to do if no voucher turned up at all.

How do I cancel a voucher and get my money back?

As long as the voucher hasn't expired and hasn't been claimed, you're in control. Just follow these steps.

1. Open the app and go to Pay.
2. Tap Send money voucher.
3. Select the voucher you want to cancel.
4. Tap Cancel.

The moment you cancel, your money returns to your account immediately. The person you sent the voucher to also gets an SMS letting them know the code can no longer be redeemed, so there's no confusion on their side.

Your transaction history shows the voucher as cancelled, and your balance reflects the returned money.

Good to know: A voucher that has already been claimed can't be cancelled, so check its status in the app before you try.
